Tea Party Demonstrations in 2008/2012
Yeah, me either... Not to brag, but I attended the very first Tea Party "gathering" it wasn't quite a "Demonstration". It was not coordinated, there is no actual "Tea Party". There is just a collection of like minded people.
BIGMAN!!! YOU ARE A RASCIST?!?!
Not hardly... The original Tea Party "gathering" was at Lafayette Park, on April 15th, 2009. In the pouring rain... There were black attendants as well as many other races. There were, to my estimation about 1200-1500 people. Most gathered around a poorly covered platform, where speakers were complaining about the coming tax tsunami. I and my (at that time)20 year old son, rode the Washington Metro downtown and walked to the Park. My son (who was wearing a t-shirt, bearing the likeness of Che' that had a circle with a line through it and the caption "Commies Aren't cool") and I carried a Gadsden flag, a flag that I had had for close to 20 years. Once at the park and specifically, near the White House fence, we stood with the flag outstretched for 10-15 minutes, we then walked around seeing what else was going on. Beside bad rhetoric from the stage, and people getting soaking wet, absolutely nothing. No fires, no effigies, no guns, no nooses, YAWN...
Except for a sense of accomplishment of actually going to the White House to exercise my first amendment rights, the only other thing I got was wet...
I bet you didn't go demonstrate or demonize ANY of the "White" Presidents.
No, you would be correct, I didn't go to Lafayette Park to protest any other President. Then again, no other President suggested and then approved of a tax based on race. Yes the Democrats had used taxes in the past to suppress the black vote (poll taxes), but that was on a state by state basis. It wasn't a Federal Tax. I would protest ANY President who had proposed any tax that was being used for punitive purposes. I DON'T agree with other sin taxes either (alcohol and tobacco). When they are passed, the excuse used is that they will stop or reduce the behavior they are taxing. The problem with this is A. My behavior, as long as I don't infringe on your rights, is none of your business, and B. the Govt. gets used to the money provided by these taxes (which are constantly increased) and when the taxes do what they were designed to do, the revenue decreases or stops. Govt. never has to do with less, so they then raise taxes elsewhere to make up the short fall..
WHOA there big fella, I won't let you get away with that one. You made the claim of a "Race Based" but didn't specify what it was and whom was being targeted...
The Tax that I speak of the the Federal Tanning Tax, this is a 10% excise tax, paid by each customer when they use a tanning facility...
OK, I am calling Bullshit.... How is that remotely racist?
Really.... You don't see a Tanning Tax as being "race" specific... How many Blacks, Hispanics, Asians, Indians, or Africans go to tanning parlors? Oh, that's right, it was the "That's So Raven" show that originated the acronym "GTL" (Gym - Tan - Landry)..... Actually it was the horrible white reality show "Jersey Shore".
Everyone knows that that Tax was to discourage tanning to stop skin cancer...
Bullshit... It was a way to stick it to white people in general, and vain whites with disposable income in particular. If a 10% tax were to be levied on any number of group specific stereotypical behaviors, the left would lose it's collective mind..
I am a Libertarian, I believe "Progressives" are really "Regressives". They believe in Govt. control, Govt. ownership, and Govt. prescription of Social Norms. That is extremely regressive, in fact it reeks of Feudalism and Monarchism. Progressives-Regressives-Totalatarians-Monarchists believe that they are chosen (for what ever reason and by whom or whatever they deem important) to be our keepers, they know what is best for society. Except, they never provide anything but death and misery.
I believe that everyone, if left alone, will find their own way and level of success depending on their efforts. Success is a favorite child of many parents, failure is an orphan. Not working with or for someone because of a superficial external reason may be what keeps you from succeeding in life. If you ascribe offensive stereotypes to people and use those as an excuse for excluding them from your life, you are limiting yourself and your potential. Hate and excuses are the only limits to what we all can become.

Racism: the Democrat tool
I was watching a documentary entitled "Floyd Norman: An Animated Life". It is about Floyd Norman (duh) who is now 79, and was until the age of 65 (when he was forced to retire), a Disney Animator. I have always been a big fan of animation, so even though I did not know who Floyd Norman was, I watched the documentary anyway.
Turns out that Mr Norman, who was hired by Disney in 1958 was the first Black artist to work at Disney studios. In an interview, when asked about being a black animator at Disney in the '50s and '60s, Mr Norman stated "I didn't know I was black". Now this may sound strange, coming from a 79 year old black man, But he was born and raised in the American West. California specifically.
Well of course big fella, California is extremely "Progressive". It is an egalitarian paradise, and will stay that way if we can keep Trump and his minions from invading!
Whoa!! Hold on there buckaroo... You are correct, currently California is run by Leftists... Unfortunately If Mr Norman were to grow up in California today, not only would he know that he was black, he probably wouldn't ever get a decent job.
The reason I said the American West and, California specifically, because until the late 1980's California was predominantly under Republican political control. Post 1865, most if not all of the US western states were under the control of Republicans. The way the American west was settled, it culturally was a meritocracy. Several western territories had to rescind the right of women to vote in order to be admitted to the Union. Women fought, suffered, toiled and died along side of their men, they were valued members of the community. Minorities, as long as they were hardworking and honest were accepted. I have found figures that suggest that as many as 8,000-10,000 cowboys were black. When you live beside a man on a cattle drive or ranch working, eating and sleeping together, suffering through the heat, cold, storms, and stampedes, his skin color didn't matter much. Especially when no one bathed for weeks or months, everybody appeared to be the same color... or at least smell.. The Lone Ranger was based on a black cowboy and US Deputy Marshall Bass Reeves.
This is not the first black man from pre-Democrat California to say publicly "I didn't know I was black". The late great Woody Strode said the same thing in an interview when relating his first trip into the Democrat controlled US south in the 1930's as part of the UCLA Bruins Football team. Mr Strode shared the Bruins Offensive back field with Jackie Robinson and Kenny Washington.
The truly sad thing is that black children born today in California, not only know they are black, but nearly everything that has or will ever go wrong in their life, according to the Democrats, is the fault of whites. Further, they need the Democrat Party to protect them (for their votes of course). I find this both sad and ironic. The irony is that the Democrats have been doing this forever. The party was born out of Identity Politics (poor westerners against eastern Bankers, Tennessee was the "west" then). After the Civil War, Southern Democrats convinced poor whites that if they didn't support the Democrats, blacks would not only steal their jobs, they would rape their daughters. The Democrats then took over a vigilante group and made it their militant wing, their "Enforcers". This group was known as the Klu Klux Klan, terrorized southern blacks for 100 years. They weren't to be disowned by the Southern Democrats until the 1970's when the Democrats realized that anti-black identity politics was a losing proposition. They had broken the Republican monopoly on the black vote in 1960 with the election of Yankee Democrat John Kennedy and his successor Lyndon Johnson. Johnson all but ensured the continued support of Blacks with his "War on Poverty" legislation. This legislation was the death knell for the black family. The illegitimacy rate in 1964 for blacks was about 24%, today it stands at 72%.
In the most recent election, the US Presidential Races of 2008, and 2012, the Democrats doubled down. If you were against Barack Obama, you are a racist. If you don't like higher taxes, you are a racist. If you don't like Obama Care (Ironically, its real name is the "Affordable Care Act", which for most people, it isn't affordable) you are a racist. If you were black and didn't support Obama, you are a race traitor or you aren't really black. You see, the only time skin color/religion/sexual orientation doesn't matter is if you are Conservative/Libertarian, that makes you a race traitor etc. In 2016, since Obama wasn't running, in order to get out the black vote, the Democrats and their media (sorry to repeat myself) the Democrats invented a crisis and created an organization to deal with the so called crisis, Black Lives Matter (BLM). It is rather ironic that most of the cities where BLM demonstrated and rioted because of Police shootings, have been run by Democrats for more than 50 years. BLM claims Racism, in more than one incident, the shooting officer was Black.. Were they racist too? BLM and Democrats nearly lost their minds when actual statistics came out showing that more whites were killed by the police than blacks. Their comeback was "there are more whites than blacks it should be higher". Not when over 22% of overall violent crime in America is committed by blacks when they are only 13% of the population. A white victim is more likely to be the victim of a black perpetrator, than a black victim, the victim of a white perpetrator.
See table:
As you can see, almost 1/4 of all violent crime victims are Black, and 62% of the Perps are also Black. Other than failing schools, the biggest issue facing Black America is Black on Black crime.
You wouldn't know that listening to Democrats, you would think that racist Police officers, and the Republican party is their biggest issue.
In 2016, Blacks stayed home because BLM didn't work. BLM kept being embarrassed when the incidents were investigated by Obama's Justice Dept. The two most prominent of their cases were dismissed.
Whites, tired of being told how hateful and racist they are for 8 years by the Democrats, really didn't want to hear how misogynist they are because they don't support Hillary's Leftism. So they voted for Trump. One of the reasons Jill Stein of the Green Party gave for her vote recount is that one of the three states in which she wants a recount, 75,000 ballots had votes for candidates "down ballot", but the Presidential selection was blank... No kidding, I almost did that myself, instead I voted Gary Johnson.
I hope to someday again, hear another black American, closer to my age or younger, when asked about being black, responds, "I didn't know I was Black".
